Bubble gum was invented in 1928 by Walter Diemer, who worked as an accountant at the Fleer Chewing Gum Company. He liked to try out new gum recipes in his free time. One day, he made a gum that was less sticky and more stretchy, which made it great for blowing bubbles. The gum was pink because that was the only color dye he had. He called it “Dubble Bubble,” and it quickly became very popular. Kids loved blowing bubbles with it. When I was a kid, I loved bubble gum. It was fun to chew, and I enjoyed trying to blow the biggest bubbles. Sometimes the bubbles would pop all over my face. It was more than just a treat but as I grew older, my love for bubble gum faded because the novelty of blowing bubbles wore off. I became more conscious of my health, and I found other sweet treats that are better than bubble gum.
