15 Seconds of Fame...Again

Would I ever want to be famous? I've actually posed that question more than once around here and my simple answer is usually no. It would be fun for a short time, but then I'd want my normal life back. But feeling "famous" every once in a while is admittedly fun. I've been on the news and my comments have been aired on the local Rizz morning show a few times. Such as this morning. I got another little 15 seconds of fame. If nothing else, it's just fun to know that from time to time when I write in to the show, they actually read the emails.
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

You are right, feeling famous every once is a while is fun, but I would not like to be famous all the time, I like my privacy.

@porwest - Exactly, I do not envy the actors and famous people, they do not have a life.

Same here. Nothing would irk me more than not being able to simply walk out the door and go where I want to.

@LadyDuck They really don't. They mostly have to live their lives in hiding. Elvis Presley's story is tragic on many levels, but his isolation was probably the most tragic thing.

Now you'll have to wear sunglasses, a wig and a beard. Have a good day.

Yes, being famous for a short while is fun, but no, not for a long time. No privacy.

Nope. When it comes to privacy, you sort of have to give that up if you want to be famous. That would not be for me.

I was on the news once and a lot of people got to see it and started calling me. I tried to offer autographs but no one wanted one.

I would agree that being famous would be fun but only for a short amount of time. I don't think I could deal with all that comes with being famous especially living life in the spotlight. I'm sure hearing your email being read on your local morning show made you smile.

I was on telly once! Just in the crowd in a Church service that was being aired on TV! I've also been featured in Kerrang! magazine! I went to the Donnington Monsters of Rock festival once with a Japanese penpal. We only really went to see Extreme. There was a photographer there from Kerrang! magazine taking pictures of the crowd, so my face got into Kerrang! magazine, just in a background shot with the main pictures over the top! I don't think I'd want to be famous. I wouldn't mind being an extra, actually they call them supporting artists these days. But proper fame is not for me, I don't think.
