Another Rainless Day

Roses are red,
violets are blue,
the forecast was wrong, woohoo!
They were right about Wednesday, but we're back to normal now.
In their defense, I wanted to know what the weather was like a week ahead and I must have asked too much: imagine planning an outdoor activity on Monday for a Sunday: that's madness!
Maybe I should stick to the good old "looking out the window when I wake up".
I stayed home and it's okay.
The stationary bike needed some love and it didn't disappoint me.
Did you know exercising releases endorphins?
It feels like... you know when mom and dad really need to talk and they lock the bedroom door?
It feels like that. It feels like... talking.
What else? Oh, the ONE thing that stopped working online! I figured it out!
It was not supposed to work in the first place.
I managed to find ONE page with ONE phrase that unveiled the mystery.
Sadly, the correct way to use the thing goes against both my logic and my morals.
I don't know if you've ever heard of Cliqly.
It wasn't Cliqly but apparently it works alike, unfortunately this detail wasn't disclosed right away.
So I had to quit. It'll take a while to remove all traces from the sites where I've been promoting this program, but it'll happen.
And I don't want to hear about this kind of affiliate marketing anymore.
You either sell something real at a fair price or you can shove it where the sun doesn't shine.
Do you have any experience with affiliate marketing? It's a vast industry.
I'm mostly referring to the "pay to earn" kind of thing.
But if you worked for Avon, then I guess that'd also count.

@rakski Unless you're recommending good products, perhaps physical products, you tested on a platform and earn commissions whenever someone makes a purchase via your special link, online affiliate marketing is pretty much a shady business to stay away from.

Well, you're lucky you did not go through that awful Hurricane Milton and we now have the leftover rain. I have been interested in affiliate marketing and once wanted to sign up wioth Amazon affiliates but never did.

@RasmaSandra I am. I have a hard time remembering where everyone is from, I see you're from Florida. Whoa, I'm so glad to hear you're safe.
Did you stay home or did you seek shelter elsewhere?
Amazon Affiliates sounds trustworthy, it makes sense if one is a niche expert or has an online following. Maybe one day.

Florida needs a lot of those to clean up from Milton. Glad things are back to normal.

@somewitch That's the one factor we can't predict.

@kaylachan For real, Florida will need help from the whole country and maybe from other countries too, hopefully the weather won't be in the way in the meantime.

I am thinking about getting a bike instead of the treadmill.

@somewitch I can adjust the incline on mine. But at times I would prefer to sit

@wolfgirl569 Bikes don't require power to work unlike electric treadmills, and manual treadmills come with an incline so they're pretty intense. As long as the chair is comfy, I think the stationary bike would be the best option. At least it was for me. Sometimes my knees complain but maybe I need to adjust the seat height.

@JudyEv It's great you can rely on your forecasters. Here they don't even seem to guess the correct temps within the same day.

I have never tried it. I don't think it would work out for me.

@snowy22315 Yeah, it can be tough and often has a bad reputation. But online gigs are few and AI is crushing the market, so affiliate marketing is heavily promoted.

Hahahaah that rhymes! The forecast is wrong, hehehehehe, but it happens all the time.
Avon? Wow this is the second time I heard about it this year. I miss Avon. Good old memories.

@luisadannointed Yeah, Avon has been around for ages but it's been pretty popular on the internet in the recent years. People look for online jobs and end up there. At least they sell physical products. Did you work there or did you had a friend working for Avon?

@RebeccasFarm Maybe it isn't that hard, one of the things that hold me back is my ethics: I'd rather be poor than be forced to lie and deceive for a personal gain. Or lead a relatively healthy life instead of working like three jobs to burn out a few months later.
We aren't the lucky ones but that's okay, perhaps limitations aren't always bad.
