After reading about the goodness of chilies specially having good amount of vitamin C I have started adding more chilies in the dishes.
Today I had all flour dumplings and decided to add double the quantity of chilies that I normally add. I found them spicy with eyes watering but I put up with it imagining vitamin C flowing along with the my eyes watering
These days I eat more of the dark chocolate than milk chocolate all for the same reason - they are healthier although I had to acquire the taste.

@allknowing Really? Is it that you did not like spiciness in food? I love it, but my body can't seem to handle "very" spicy these days.

@much2say It was always moderate but adding more means I have to tolerate it.

It is a matter of getting used to the spiciness which one will slowly pick up. I too have never liked spicy food but now I am slowly increasing the quanityt and seem to tolerate it well.

I do not like food too spicy. I have eaten some chilies but the best I liked with food were marinated chilies I bought in Latvia, I have not found any like them here,

I do not eat chilies as such but add them in the dishes chopped while cooking and ground to a paste in masalas. I do eat them raw in salads but not every day.

Chilies are available throughout the year and one does not have to eat them in quantity as is required when it comes to fruits. Also chillies is something we use every day

@Fleura I just read this on the Net
Vitamin C. Chili pepper is an excellent source of Vitamin C and it has 40 times more Vitamin C than carrot - carrot has 5.9mg of Vitamin C per 100 grams and chili pepper has 242.5mg of Vitamin C.
I knew this about chilies.
And ofcourse I eat plenty of vegetables and fruits such as bananas and that which grows in our garden

@allknowing one kiwi fruit provides more than your daily requirement of vitamin C, it's not difficult. Lots of other fruits too. And cruciferous vegetables like cabbage or broccoli. Not that I'm trying to put you off eating chillies, but there's no need if you find it hard work!
