The best way to practice for the IELTS speaking question part one is to read this list of questions and then practice answering with a patient friend or an English teacher. As an English teacher, I like this list because it covers almost all the possible topics for the Part 1. Make sure that you practice with these topics. This part of the test is not timed, so you can expand upon your answer. Always answer in complete sentences, not too short, but each sentence should have one topic. It is a bit like an essay, with a topic sentence, a body and a conclusion. Make sure that you use correct English grammar and sentence construction. Don't worry if you have an accent in English. If you need to speak slower, it is ok in this section. For example: The first question, after the examiner asks your name, is often Do you work or study? For this question, you only need to say: I am working as a nurse. I work at the Ceders Sinai Hospital in the Oncology department. The second question might be: Why did you choose that job? Answer: I like helping people and this job is very fast paced and gives a lot of job satisfaction. Questions: Is this job popular in your country? Answer: Well, it is a necessary job in the hospital. There are lots of jobs for nurses, and especially in this department. Good luck on the IELTS Speaking Exam. Would you like more posts like this one? The IELTS is an English test that many Universities in the world, as well as Canada, the UK and Australia ask immigrants to take to make sure that they know English. It is a good test, and if you pass this test, you probaby know how to speak English.

I find this very interesting. I worked with a few migrant women a long time ago so the subject interests me.
