The acrylic painting I did yesterday.

I'm not going down town shopping today because of my cold, so I'm staying in and watching TV! My Mum has gone to the house group that meets at Church.
Yesterday I did the painting of the still life with jug which I showed you the drawing of a few days ago. (See picture above.) It was a disaster! It was a nightmare!
The step-by-step process in the London Art Course syllabus gave a list of the colours used but didn't tell you where and when to use them, so I had to keep looking at the pictures and guess which colour went where!
I was using acrylic paper rather than canvas for ease of sending through the post, especially when I've got 5 paintings to send at once, and I don't know wether it was that or the paint but it became very bitty. You might be able to see that in the green at the bottom of the jug. Well it's not actually a jug. I don't know what you'd actually call it. Anyway I waited for it to dry before I tried brushing it off.
First I was told to draw the outline with royal blue paint, but I didn't have any royal blue, so I used cobalt blue instead. Then I didn't know how I was going to get rid of the outlines! When that was dry I was told to block in the colours with a thin wash. The step-by-step instructions were for oil paints so it was talking about using turpentine, but as I was using acrylics I just used water. And that's when the bitting happened.
After that was dry it was time to put in more detail and shadows. More bitting happened in the shadow underneath the jug or whatever it is! It was a right royal mess! I think it must be the paper and the fact I was using the paint thin as this never happens when I'm using canvas! I added highlights in places including on the mushrooms.
I don't know what my tutor is going to think of this right royal mess!
I started a couple of other paintings aswell, both for the London Art Course, but they're not finished yet. I'll show you them when they're finished.
What are you lot getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

@sharonelton May be.But at that time I was a child.I had no worries.Instead;I was looked after by my parents and three elder brothers. So;I had time to develop a hobby.
Now I'm a married man living with his old parents.I have a busy schedule.

@Shivram59 I see. Maybe when you retire you'll have time to get back into it.

Yes, I'm just sending it to my tutor along with four others, the other acrylic ones I was doing on Thursday that aren't finished yet, and the watercolour paintings I did before. Although I might redo the impressionistic one because I don't like the mess I made of it at the bottom.
I'm feeling a bit better now, thank you very much.
Thank you very much.
I hope you are well.
Have a nice day.

Your tutor is going to think of giving better instructions next time, especially for acrylics.
But you did a great job despite the difficulties, I wouldn't have noticed the bitting if you didn't point it out. And those mushrooms are so cute!
