I always use my Instant Pot as it comes out perfect every time. No point in heating up this old apartment by turning the stove top on. Years ago, I remember I had a rice cooker which did the same thing. Do you always cook perfect rice and if so how do you cook it?

I do it at the stove. And I first fry the rice with oil, salt and grond fresh garlic. When the color has changed, I add the water and let it simmer.

I've heard that the Instant Pot does well. We just don't eat rice very often. When I cooked it I would cook it for a certain amount of time and then take it off the burner and let it set to do the rest of the cooking.

I use my handy dandy rice cooker - never fails. I'm realizing my rice cooker is more than 20 years old now. Stove top has never worked for me . . . often overcooked on the outside and undercooked inside.

I just never ever cook rice. I do remember doing it once in the instant pot, cannot remember if I used the pressure cooker setting or not.

I used to cook rice in a pan on the hob. Sometimes it would come out perfectly, sometimes it would be a little underdone or overdone and sticking to the pan. I now usually microwave it as it always comes out perfectly. It's also much quicker, and I feel I have more control over it! My husband is also happier as he washes the dishes! The microwave bowl is much easier to wash than a pan, especially as the rice doesn't stick to the bowl.

@RebeccasFarm I would consider trying it, but it's not on my current diet. But maybe I'll do it for my husband.

Right, it's like using the air fryer instead of the oven. We don't have an instant pot so we still use the stove. A rice cooker would also be nice, or a steamer. I don't even know what the difference is.
