After I Googled throughly what it said about Prednisone, I decided that there was no point in not using if the doctor had prescribed it. I have to take it for 7 days, stop and then use it again if it hurt a lot. Dixie told me that Prednisone was deadly. But her heart has so many issues that there are lots of pills that her body won´t accept. I am taking a pill with Tramadol and a big dose of Paracetamol every day but Dixie had to stay at the hospital for some days after her knee surgery because she had to have a special treatment as she could not take those pills. The only important thing was that I had to take it with breakfast to minimize the effects on my tummy. So I took out some bread I had in the freezer. And the avocados are ripe so I made a paste with one of them. There´s a big BUT to the Prednisone though. No liquor. So I´ll drink a glass of Bailey after the 7 days are over. Mario will come today and tomorrow. He´ll arrive so late that I think that he will only see what must be done in the garden. I think that he is coming for my cooking. after his wife died during the covid, their house is an only men house. See you later.

I have no idea why the doctor gave it to me. I had taken it before when I had chemotherapy.

@sallypup They gave it to me along with the chemo. Who knows? But here I am, almost ((or past) a decade later.

What are you taking the prednisone for? I usually wind up on a course of it like once a year when my asthma gets really bad.

I knew I had arthrosis but now the doctor said that I also had fibromyalgia, whatever that is.

Tramadol is worse for you than prednisone. That stuff messes with a lot of people. Paracetamol is a narcotic pain killer isn't it?

@marguicha It has a bunch of side effects. IT can do a lot of things that you cont even notice. I won't ever take it again.

If your doctor prescribed it, it should be helpful. When my great niece lived with me she took it occasionally. She had mood swings, very dramatic, and she was just a six year old little girl.

I hope the pills the doctor prescribed are good. I´d love to hurt less as I live alone.

Prednisone helps a lot of people. It’s harmless to most.

You're doctor should know your better than your friends and they have your better interest in mind. Not saying your friends doesn't on the latter.

Dixie just commented that it was deadly for her. But then she has so many heart problems that there is a long list of meds she can´t take.

I hope the medication works for you. Vince is off most painkillers apart from paracetamol.
