Now the Liberals are claiming that some Trump bibles are made in China! Can you imagine?

Can you believe that the Liberals are trying to claim that some Trump bibles are made in China? I understand that Trump is senile, and perhaps even pooping his pants on stage, but he has made it clear that he wants to "tariff" China, and bring back jobs to the US. Or something like that. I don't know much about the New Republic. I believe it to be a "magazine" that has been around for many years. Maybe they were overrun by Haitian immigrants, Central and South American gang members, and others who want to spread this BS. I really don't know. Do you believe that some Trump bibles are being made in China? That sounds absolutely absurd to me. I will provide a link to the article.

It is actually a good idea to make Bibles (or anything) in China. Anything made there is cheaper probably because they sometimes use children to work. But who cares where anything is made in China as long as they are cheaper? Unless, of courseyou are one of the people that have lost their jobs because the trade went there.

@crossbones27 Just a little while ago, a giant manufacturer of steel in my country had to close its doors forever because China has a less expensive (and much worse) steel. Right now it seems that every thing we buy is disposable and made by "The peopleĀ“s Republic of China".

@marguicha You have a point miss lady and the stupidest thing is Trump put tariffs on China. Its one of the reason they think inflation went so high in US. Tariffs are meant to charge American companies a higher price for importing goods rather than making them at home.. It does not hurt China one bit. It really does not hurt American corporations, they so rich they can afford if Americans going to be dumb enough just to buy things with out doing their due diligence. American corporations pass it on to the customer. They continue to stupidly buy, and Trump gets to rant and rave how he is so tough on China. I am not sure Americans or Trump know how tariffs work.

You mean you think Trump could actually be allowing some of those bibles to be made in China? For shame!

I feel like people in general are bored and have nothing better to do. On both sides of the fence.

@kaylachan Its very easy to look up or even go to Oklahoma where their now forcing people to buy his bibles. Buy his Bible and see where its made. I have not looked that up yet as far as Oklahoma, but heard they passed a law saying they only allowed to buy is Trump's bibles at 60 dollars a pop. Bored or not, I think people are worried it will be true fascism if Trump gets elected again, but again easy to clear up if people just take the time.

@crossbones27 People can also ignore it, too. I had no problem telling the guy from Metronet to get lost when he showed up at my door on Friday. You can't believe everything you read online. The truth is you don't know who's behind the keyboard, or what's really going on unless you have lived it. Just like how you feel people like me are idiots for sheltering in place during a hurricane, you haven't lived it, we have. We know when we feel safe sheltering in place or if we feel safe leaving. Same with people who really don't get flooded often, or get rain or snow very often. They aren't prepared . They don't build their homes with that just-in-case mindset because they want to save money and or they don't have standards t to know the best way to enforce homes. And, even then, homes can still flood. You're talking about human nature. If you stop to think about how we've changed, you'd realize why I feel the way that I do. People want something to talk about weather it's true or not. And because you don't always know what's true it's easy to get wrapped up in the storry. Is it possible that people are trying to captolize off of trump? Probably. After capatolizing on celeberities with or without their permission is common. But, at the end of the day that's all it is. Just more or less a legal scam.

But would not the main-stream media immediately expose such a thing and render Trump a liar?

Listen, Global trade records show a printing company in China shipped close to 120,000 Bibles to the United States and they confirmed that those are Trump's Bibles. Not bad for someone who always criticized China.

@TheHorse - United States Imports from China was US$448.02 Billion during 2023 and I am sure it will be even more during 2024.

Are you sure? I see such a claim as a tad "over the top," given that Trump is a "God Bless the USA" kind of guy. How do you think Trump would respond to such a claim? I hope someone asks him about the allegations that some of his bibles are being made in China.

Interestingly, my friend's line of work used to be in the "promotional" field . . . she told us some of her future plans and that she had a printing source in China that would do quality (good enough) work inexpensively. My attorney friend had a successful side gig of creating fancy dog bowls - made in his China source because the price was right. I wouldn't be surprised about Trump bibles being printed in China!
