Such a Cheesy Show, But the Scenes are Funny

Chuck Norris was always a great black belt kind of a guy, but really if I get down to it, I must admit he was a horrible actor. I still enjoy watching him though. Watching Walker, Texas Ranger, it's a pretty cheesy show and I think was during its time too. Sort of like Carrol O'Connor in In The Heat of the Night, which can only be described as corny at best. But there was a scene in Walker where Chuck Norris broke a guy's nose and as the guy was screaming in pain Walker tried to make him talk by grabbing the guy by the broken nose and resetting it, holding it in place. When he pulled away and the guy still didn't give up the information, he said, "I liked your nose broken better," and punched him in the face again rebreaking his nose. I died laughing.

Dad jokes? Or bad jokes? Either could apply. OK, here's a start. Chuck Norris walks in to a bar... Let's make up a Very Funny Joke!

Chuck Norris is one of those guys who has simply been made into a caricature unto himself. I think he enjoys every minute of it. And man, the career he has had and on top of that, he's in his 80s and looks like he's in his 60s.

Hey, haven’t you seen those Chuck Norris jokes? You can’t badmouth his bad acting that way! I think the only movie of his I ever saw was Invasion USA, and yes, his acting will never be mistaken for the likes of James Stewart or Al Pacino.

Gosh, Norris has sort of become a meme unto himself. I am sure he both enjoys the memes and marvels he made such a great career with bad acting. lol I mean, look at Segal. He became a joke too, but no one took his career seriously.

@porwest Macho man scenes can be fun, even if the acting is pretty good. Who can for getthe line "Make my day"? And the Mexican standoff in The Good The Bad and the Ugly is classic. I also get inspired by IP Man once every few years.

I have to say that even in his 80s, he looks good for his age, and I am sure many women would still swoon over him DESPITE his age.

I mean, that's a scene out of all the scenes on that show I will never forget, and it's the only that really stands out for me.

I am sure they probably had a Latvian voiceover actor. I'd be curious to know what it was called in Latvian.

@porwest My friends and I occasionally watch movies that are so bad they're good, like "The Dentist" and "The Human Centipede."

But of course. Some of the best movies are still the old, cheesy sci fi and horror B movies. Nothing in the world like them.

Missing in Action is a movie that comes to mind that I rather liked. He's not a great actor, but his movies and antics are always entertaining and fun nonetheless.
