Troll Trolling

The responses made to my post on Reddit were offensive. One creature, writing in this superior manner, tossing insults. I did not answer. But then I decided, let me see who or what this Troll is. So I clicked on its name and went to all the comments it made to the posts of others. The Troll has been a member of the site for five years. Yet! Troll has made no posts. All it does it comment, often viciously, on the posts of others. Okay. So, having a chunk of time, (it was raining) I began to serve the Troll its own 'medicine'. I posted honest insults on all of the comments .it had made Discrediting, scorning. And I waited. And waited. No reaction, no response, no comments. HMMM?

@anya12adwi Imagine belonging to a social network for 5 years, making no post, but attacking others

That is so creepy! I'm glad you replied to his comments. The fact you had no replies after that really says something.

when I followed him around I saw his nasty on others posts so began striking. It is really bad that if you posted something you know for a fact, and someone attacks you. Or if you express an opinion and you are attacked. The thing that shocked me was that for five years this character ran around attacking and never made a single post

@jaylar Yes, it's not good when that happens. I saw that just this week on Twitter. Someone posted something that was a fact but got loads of abuse from people who didn't believe it. Yes, that does seem strange. Why would someone do that?

@sharonelton people believe lies and hoaxes and discard truth. I was amazed... imagine there's a discussion about the Bob Marley movie and you had met Bob and post it. You'd expect people to line up to ask what he was like. Not to be attacked.

Maybe the Troll is a robot of some kind, I am on Reddit but have not really explored it, Is it a good place to post my work?

there are a lot of different discussions. I used to only post ref. to my articles, now I participate in various groups.

this is the best image of a troll. i think you did your take on him by giving him a taste of his own medicine.

So you trolled the troll. Well, there isn't much that can be done with trolls. What matters in the end is that you had fun, but I hope you also received some nice responses to your Reddit post.

all I wanted to do is shut up the troll. I realised how crummy I felt when he attacked my post and assume others feel the same. so they are not alone

@somewitch I think when it becomes the kind of attack to attack, it just inspired me to go after the troll

@jaylar Yeah, it's nice you stood up for the other victims.
