This is a follow-up to reactions I had on the 60 Minutes interview recently given by Kamala Harris to CBS-TV. Just my viewpoints on her interview answers to provide help to those undecided or wavering voters unsure who to best lead our country the next 4 years.
1. ECONOMY
The reporter from the 60 Minutes Interview cited sources that claimed her spending platform if enacted would add over 3 TRILLION DOLLARS to the United States deficit over the next 10 years. The reporter asked how do you pay for it?
***Her answer: We just have to do it. "Everyone has to pay their fair share." Think about it logically, even if you raised taxes on corporations, millionaires, and all citizens, you would never come close to raising that amount of money and covering the cost of those programs.
-Do we really want to elect someone with no business knowledge to oversee our economy?
MORE 60 MINUTES GEMS FROM HARRIS:
2. FLIP FLOPS
The reporter asked about Kamala's reversing her views on issues like border security (the wall), universal health care and fracking.
***Kamala's Flip-Flopping Answer- I traveled over the country speaking meeting people and wanted to gain a consensus with all the people in it. I believe in building this country.
-Never going to get everyone to agree on the issues. Saying you are building consensus does not explain in detail the reason for the flip flops.
3. FOREIGN POLICY
***Knows nothing about how to deal with China and Iran. When asked what her response to aggression by these countries against Taiwan or Israel, her answer to the interviewer was I'm not going to answer a hypothetical question.
-Well, that's a good response in a courtroom, but not in an interview. Voters need to know what decisions you will make. Do we really want to elect someone with no clue on diplomacy and foreign policy decisions.
4. BORDER
***Would not admit that the flow of immigration had quadrupled under her administration instead blaming the previous administration and Congress for the problem instead of admitting responsibility for the border security crisis.
-Says she offered solutions. Kamala never gave a solution to the open border crisis in her 60 minutes interview.
CONCLUSION
***Harris has no insight into how you run a country even with her experience working with Joe Biden as a sitting Vice President.
I do give her credit for one thing. Kamala is excellent at memorizing Democratic talking points. Unfortunately, if you have no creative problem-solving skills, what good is being a good memorizer.
You cannot base her fitness to lead our country on how nice and friendly she appears.
Smiling and laughing are not the best qualifications to succeed in the White House.

The "tax the rich more" thing never ceases to amaze me how often they get away with saying this with the reaction being straight faces and nods. How many times can it be stressed that if you confiscated ALL of the richest's wealth, it would fund the government for 90 days? But people are simply obsessed with the idea. Beyond that, I have long said, that when you take into consideration ALL of the contributions that businesses provide to society, from jobs to product development and innovation, technology that improves our lives, the tax revenues as a whole that businesses generate from everything they do, massive amounts of wealth creation opportunity for regular people, and the list goes on, I contend they are already paying their fair share even if not all of it is in the form of a physical check sent to the IRS.
Beyond that, businesses do not PAY taxes. They COLLECT them when they sell us their stuff. So, tax them all you want. WE will pay the tax. Every cent of it.
As for the border. Yeah. That damn bill they keep waving over our heads that they DID NOT NEED to secure the border. They OPENED it via executive order. They can CLOSE it under executive order. Even Trump and Vance have miserably failed to make that point clear, and frustratingly so.

Tax the rich and spread the wealth to others is a socialist ideal. When I was young and stupid, I thought that seemed like a pretty good idea. The wealth could solve everyone's financial problems.
With age comes wisdom.
Your comments here are spot on:
"Beyond that, I have long said, that when you take into consideration ALL of the contributions that businesses provide to society, from jobs to product development and innovation, technology that improves our lives, the tax revenues as a whole that businesses generate from everything they do, massive amounts of wealth creation opportunity for regular people, and the list goes on, I contend they are already paying their fair share even if not all of it is in the form of a physical check sent to the IRS."
Of course, most people have no knowledge of how capitalism and economics work so they fall for the rich must pay their fair share.
Yep, raise the tax on corporations and who will pay, we do! Trump/Vance have made the point that all Biden/Harris needed to close the border was an executive order reversing their drastic policies. Of course, doing that would signal there is a border crisis.

@Ghostlady Of course, please do! Hopefully it will sink into those wavering on who to vote for. Electing a socialist like Kamala would be a threat to our Constitutional Republic or as the left likes to say, "A Threat to Democracy."

Hope you don't mind if I borrow your thoughts...Wish I could say that the way you did. I have tried to explain it, but not as good with words.

Sorry, I cannot agree with you. Point out one thing in this post that is inaccurate?
Living in India, you are not getting the complete picture. You don't choose a candidate on appearance only.
A candidate must have the ability to govern. I would provide a more through list, but I believe it would not sway you. Glad you are not voting though, but I will say you are not alone in your opinion. Many casual voters who do no real research and just listen to the lies of the media will vote for her.
Thanks for your response...

My reason for posting. Those who have liberal friends on here will not comment because they want to avoid confrontation. But just maybe, they will read this and realize the information they are receiving from their favorite media stations are not providing the whole truth.
Thanks for commenting!
