Is the season changing?

Yes of course we are in fall and heading toward winter but that isn't what I am referring to. It is a metaphor for the shift of things between my ex and I over the past month or so. We have been divorced for 5 years but are still on good terms and in touch though the extent of that shifts over the course of time.
I don't know what happened with him. I don't ask questions about his private personal life when I think the answers might upset me. Still there has been a definite shift. He's been coming over. We've been texting. He keeps initiating exchanges on his own.
I don't have any high hopes for anything but hearing from him and seeing him sure does make me smile.

I have ketp my fingers crossed all these years. You never knew, it seems, why did he want a divorce out of the blue.
