After another disaster, this guy had barrels of clothes filling up his parking area. He had received them from his links in America for everyone wanted to contribute to the relief effort. The problem was that the 'pride' of Jamaicans had them reject charity. So there he was, a dozen barrels full of clothing no one wanted. I told him to leave the gate open when he drives out. He did so. When he got home, all the barrels had been 'stolen'.

If you had been ith me... to see the barrels in that man's garage and that he had tried every way to give them to people and was insulted...yet, they could steal the barrels of clothing.

There was a garbage strike by my office. I put the garbage in a box, taped it, and left it by the door. It was stolen. Jamaicans will steal. You can have this charity and people will reject it. but they'll steal

@AmbiePam it is. My friend used to make it her duty to give a certain amount of her clothing to the church. Now she was rich so this dress was silk. She was standing there, her clothes on display, feeling she had done a good deed, when she heard people talking about 'old bruk' and other things. I caught her later, burning her clothes in the yard, tears pouring down her face. I told her what to do... she didn't do it right away, because she was so hurt. But then, she would put her clothes in a box and leave it in front of her business. Always gone in the morning.
