White sands

While on a cruise of the Bahamas we visited the CocoCay Island - the tiniest of the Islands- 1.57 kilometers long and 0.43 kilometers wide: What was significant was the colour of the sand and that was prestine white. I even picked a shell white in colour and brought it home. We travelled by the Royal Caribbeans, the ship named Sovereign of the Seas - 14 decked ship. We spent three days on the ship and our days were packed with activity. We even had dinner with the Captain and posed for a photo with him which later we were told we had to buy it I did not (lol) Talking about colour of sand here in India a place called Kanyakumari has three colours - brown, yellow and black.

@allknowing I remember this photo. We only went one time on a cruise, my husband did not like.

My dad went to Hawaii and a beach had black sand. But then when he went to the Bahamas he saw the white sand. I think the black sand fascinates me more, but the white sand is beautiful.

The pebble beaches in England and Ireland always surprised me. That would have been a wonderful cruise.

I really want to take a cruise to the Bahamas to see their waters. They're supposed to be so crystal clear. It sounds like you enjoyed your time :)
