You should take your time when you eat. You should eat slow Eating slow helps you to enjoy the flavor of your food. Eating slow is better for your digestion. Eating fast is bad for your digestion. Eating fast can cause you to have high blood pressure. I remember when we ate lunch in High School every one would hurry and eat their lunch so they could talk with their friends. And when you work and have a half hour lunch you always ate fast. Always in a hurry when you are on a time limit. That is why I now slow down and take my time eating.

I am always the last one done, no matter who I eat with or where I eat. I think eating slowly could well be the key to some people having weight issues. If I eat slowly, I feel full and then I don't want seconds, etc.

And I think eating slowly helps in digestion as well. For those who are on a diet as well, it is recommended to eat slowly so they can feel full without having to eat all the food they got

I have never thought much about health but I like to eat slow. I like food. I enjoy cooking it, tasting it and I feel that gulping it down is quite close to a sin.

@jstory07 I used to eat way slower. I think became a fast eater when I became a parent . It is better to chew your food well and swallow in smaller amounts - better for digestion.

People not conformable when they eat fast. Sometimes hungry but most times if someone eats so fast. they do not want to be there. Just what I have seen and might have done.

@jstory07 I actually eat as fast as comfortable even by myself because of military maybe. I can eat cheeseburgers faster than anyone, but everyone else beats me in other things. Salads, I am slow as hell.

I was a chubby kid, always trying to lose weight, and always making sure to eat slow. It didn't help back then but I've kept that habit, now that my weight is normal. I like to be the last to finish a meal, I must admit I don't like watching others eat and that's another source of motivation.

Quite right. I think a slow meal improves the quality and taste and a smaller meal can be quite as filling as a hurriedly eaten big one
