Do you remember the discussion I posted yesterday about my friend who had me go with her late at night to rescue a dog? She recently went camping to see the Northern Lights, and now wants me to go with her on vacation, camping in Colorado. Think I should? No way!

She would absolutely love that. And if you were going on the trip, I’d go too!

I´d say like you: no way! Even when I was young, I either stayed at home or went to a place where I could have a clean toilettle and a good bed. Why go suffer when my house was nice and comfy?

Somehow I picture her camping spot being in a beautiful, wild spot, and you shivering in a sleeping bag on a rocky cliff. I like camping but not that rugged. I think I would have to say a big NO!!

@AmbiePam With your health and back issues, I think you had better settle for saying no...she is adventurous, I will give her credit for that!

I was in a car accident when I was 18, and my spine is messed up. It wouldn’t be smart to test my back like that. I’ve had too many surgeries to mess around.

@AmbiePam OH I don't blame you for that I know what a bad back can be like.

At least you know what to expect now. Rescuing coyotes this time perhaps, I wouldn't miss out on this opportunity.

It is nice to be invited, but you do not have to go.

That could be a cool trip . . . but I wonder what her idea of camping is . Be sure to bring a survival book - and a flashlight would be good unless she insists you make your own fire .

This might be a good vacation. But if you're not up for camping in the dark in the forest and getting lost. No is the best answer.

Well, that is a big deal, but my back is messed up from a car accident, and even with an air mattress I’m not sure it’s worth it.

She didn’t ask you to accompany her to watch the Northern lights? She should have.

She was going with other people I didn’t know, and I wouldn’t have gone even if she had asked. Plus, they asked her, and if she started asking people to come along, the people who invited her would have thought it rude.

@AmbiePam I see. I thought she went alone. Yes,it would be rude to the people who invited her if she asked you.
