Toby's Wildlife Management & Pest Control officials answered a call from employees that a lemur who is a native of Madagascar was seen at Bear Creek Park in Houston Texas on October 1. Someone had picked up the lemur and left the park but the s came back one hour later to leave the lemur and dropped off the lemur back at the park. Then the rescuers came to the park to pick up the lemur when a police officer pulled the employees of the rescue team over for speeding, The rescuers asked the police officer to assist them to pick up the lemur at the park. With the help of the police officer, the lemur who may have been a pet of someone who legally owned the lemur who was given the name Lenny was taken to an animal shelter to be checked for a microchip and hopefully reunite with its owner or find a new home. I think a lemur would make a nice pet but they'd be happier in their own environment.

The lemur must feel lost. Hes far away from his hometown Madagascar. Hope he gets back home some way. But maybe here is better. Sometimes lemurs make a good meal in Madagascar

I would love to have a lemur! Not that lemurs should be pets unless they are unable to care for themselves properly.

I hope the lemur's owner is found even though I think Lenny would be happier in the rain forest. Have a good weekend.

I am in agreement with you that Lenny would be happy in the forest than being someone's pet.

I wonder if the police officer let them off for speeding. It was good that the lemur was caught and moved to the animal shelter.

The officer did pardon the rescuers and assisted them to get the lemur.
