Choosing the right accommodation can significantly impact the overall experience when it comes to short-stays. Many take hotels, which offer convenience and 24/7 assistance. Most luxury hotels have great amenities that we do not even end up using most of them. Rental home or Airbnb provides a homely feel, affordable stay and flexibility.
Rental homes often provide more space and can be very option when it comes to affordable stay. You have the option to cook, get a more authentic local experience. Sometimes you end up meeting a great host and people. Privacy could vary and compared to hotels; security measures are often less for rental homes.
When it comes to hotels, there is daily housekeeping, room service and even 24/7 front desk. Security measures are better. Privacy is better compared to rental homes.
Question is what do you prefer for short-term stays: Airbnb/rental homes or hotels? Personally, if there is a rental home available, I would go for same after checking the amenities. If a company is paying for my stay, then I would definitely look at a hotel.

Definitely hotels. Not only do you have the options for room service, housekeeping, and security, but it’s also in many regards cheaper. Another thing that many hotel chains come with is a guarantee: if your toilet is backed up they’ll move you to another room, call maintenance, or refund your money. If your toilet’s backed up in an Airbnb, what are you going to do?

Thats a great point. Hotel assures an immediate replacement or refund , if such a situation happens. Perhaps one of the biggest drawbacks of rental homes. Thanks for sharing!

Due to COVID daily house keeping is only avaible upon request. At least in every resort or hotel I've ever stayed in. And, personally, due to me being disabled I like being in a hotel or resort. I like the idea I can get help if I need it.

Thats a very intelligent assessment of choices. If it is a long stay , it is better to go with rental homes and if not a hotel. Thamks for sharing!
