Why would someone insist so much to talk on WhatsApp?

Today I found a stranger who can help me with an exam for a job. I talked to him on Messenger. But he insists and insists on talking on WhatsApp. Maybe he is not a scammer. But I asked him why he insists so much on using WhatsApp. He said that it's easier for him, but if I want we can talk on Messenger too. I don't trust anyone. Maybe he can help me with my exam or maybe not. I am not sure if I should ask for help, but I am sure that I will fail the exam. It's very difficult. He passed that exam and he knows better. Contacting strangers and asking for help is very risky too.

In terms of exams. If you can study, do so. Take your chances. If you fail, you fail. You need to accept that. And, yes, scammers love whatsapp, because it allows them to communicate anywhere in the world for free, and most scammers are in another country. so it cuts costs.

I have heard the horror stories on television dealing with strangers making offers for work.

hahah i just suggested you to do that on your other post. well, i prefer WhatsApp because i can hear people more clearly on that app rather than on Messenger. also, the photos and videos you share look better on WhatsApp. mazbe that's why he insists on talking there.

It sounds like he wants to flirt or something along those lines.
Using WhatsApp would imply giving him your phone number and that might be private info you'd rather avoid sharing. I agree with him that Whatsapp is easier, but life can't always be easy.
