Why Can't I Just Live on Ramen Noodles?

I love them, I really do. I know they are not good with all the sodium and I only have them maybe once a month if that. But it would be so much cheaper than buying protein and necessary nutrients. I don't eat much meat on the whole, but seem to get enough protein. What do you wish you could eat all the time to save money? Oh and key lime pie, though that is not saving money. Just dreaming of it of course.

I’d rather live on that pictured key lime pie. But that 60 pounds that I lost would be back in about a week and a half. College kids can live on ramen noodles, but I don’t think anyone over 25 can process that much sodium.

Isn't it great to lose the weight? It feels so good, all the key lime pie doesn't matter anymore.

I don't eat much meat either. I don't care much for Ramen noodles although I do eat them from time to time. I wish I could just eat chocolate wafers. They'd be about as nutritious as the noodles. We haven't had key lime pie in quite some time. We might have it for dessert on one of the holidays. Do you take a multi-vitamin?

@RebeccasFarm .......You don't enjoy or just can't afford to buy much? Vitamins would be a start in the right direction.

My daughter would say mac n cheese . What keeps me away from ramen and such is I get a bad headache from them. I would eat rice all the time - but that's not good either.

@RebeccasFarm Stupid glucose. It's funny my Iranian grandma friend knows rice can make us "fatter", but she didn't believe me that rice was unhealthy - hmmm.

All processed food contain artifical ingredients which on long term consistent consumption could cause issues. In fact , one of the selling points of processed food is they are cheaper than some of the other options. So the idea of living on noodles would be bad unless you are making the noodles at home and using ingredients to get the balanced diet. Having fruits and vegetables alongwith milk and cutting down on the consumption of red meat, should be a good starting point from health and money perspective. Again , if you consume the same thing over a period of time you get bored. Suggestion is change items everyday but have them cooked at home , that should be helpful cost and health wise.

I love eggs. I could eat them twice a day 365 days a year. They are filling and reasonably priced. I am not a huge pasta eater, I have never really liked it. I also eat alot of homemade broccoli soup, I love soup for lunch.

The pie looks tasty, but I have never been a fan of key Lime or Lemon Meringue pie.

This is a tough one. Most things I like aren't really cheap. I could live on milk puddings. Does that count?

Oh, I love Ramen noodles with pork. Eggs, cooked in whatever way, except sunny side up, are also my favorite.

i don't like lime but the photo is changing my mind very nice dream. yes, ramen is a good pick and it should be cheaper; it's just noodles. the last ramen that i paid for was 2.70 dollars. hm. also, you need meat once in a while
