I’ve seen a lot of funny movies, from basic comedy to romantic comedy. The funniest one I ever saw might have been one with Don Knotts and Tim Conway. Unfortunately, I can’t remember which one I am talking about. There are a lot of recent funny ones, but I’m definitely not big on gross out humor and profanity.

The movie that starred the late Tim Conway and the late Don Knotts is likely "The Prizefighter" which looks a like a spoof of the "Rocky Balboa" franchise.
The funniest movie I saw was "The Disorderly Orderly" that starred the late Jerry Lewis as an intern in a hospital.

Oh man. I don't know about the funniest movie I've ever seen.
Spaceballs is probably fairly high up on that list.

@AmbiePam It's Mel Brooks, and its funny. There's another one he does, that has Gene Wilder in it but I can't remember what it is called right now.

Classic (b&w) would be The More the Merrier with Jean Arthur. Screwball comedy before Lucille Ball came along. (In fact, she probably learned a thing or two from it.)
More modern: Blazing Saddles. An absolutely perfect spoof of westerns…with a message behind all the guffaws.

One of my all time faves is First Wives Club with Bett Midler, Goldie Hawn, and Diane Keaton. It's one of the few movies I've watched more than once.

It's really hard to say what the funniest is to me.
I do always enjoy watching the original John Hughes "Home Alone" franchise. I think it has some pretty hilarious moments.
