Women in Role Playing

So, I'm sure most of my friends know I'm a science fiction fan. I used to go to conventions, not as heavily celebrity as San Diego Con. I did get to meet several of the Classic Doctor Who actors. This is just to let you know that I have done some costuming in my time. However, I never live action Role Played. I did exactly one role play game but did not enjoy it. But, if you have watched those medieval like computer games, you might've seen that the females are often sexualized, putting them into skimpy costumes. Honestly, you don't have to look at computer games, look at Wonder Woman, or most of the females in comic books. So, and I hope this will be okay with myLot, I found a YouTube short where they were showing women in armor. It looked like some had dresses over the armor, but those tiny, bikini costumes would not be allowed. This is just to say that when a woman went to war, she wasn't stupid enough to go unprotected. What do you think, are you like me with serious annoyance of women in no armor, with barely enough to be legal?

@ElicBxn I wrote a couple tenth doctor and eleventh doctor stories on fanfic years ago I will have to find them for you. I think fifth doctor is my favorite. Which Master are you talking of? Simms?

@ElicBxn I like Simms, especially with Tenth Doctor. The chemistry was good.

There's a name for that... fan service? As most fans are males, they're serving them with ladies in sultry clothes to please their eye. Yeah, it can be quite distasteful and nowhere near practical "in real life".

I suppose most gamers are males, but I know a lot of women who also game. I do pattern type games, and the first person who has ever won Tetris was a guy, so...

@ElicBxn Yes, there are many female gamers out there. I'm a "casual" gamer too, and mostly a "single-player".

I actually think some of these look pretty elegant.

Joan of Arc has always spoken to me. She was a powerful woman in a time when women were supposed to be home makers and baby makers. These pictures prove that women wouldn't be going into battle with just a bikini.

@ElicBxn absolutely and nice comparison. i've watched 3 movies in whole about joan of arc and she was a hero of her country. too sad her own people couldn't believe it and see it back then.
