10/20/24 - Update On My Husband

They transferred my husband to the new facility yesterday afternoon. We will visit today to bring him his phone, a few things he requested and some clothes.
I hope this new place has good physical therapy and will help him return home. I miss him so much.
UPDATE: My husband just called me at 4 am. Said he couldn't get through, was very worried and was going to call the police. Saw that he called around 10:30 pm. I must have been in the bathroom. He said he was using someone's cell phone.

I don´t understand what happened that made him want to call the police. I´m worried for him.

He tried to call me for hours. I don't know what number he was calling.

@marguicha They only come when you press your call button...and it's usually an aide.

@LindaOHio You have been together almost as long as my parents. My mother lived to see 59 years before she passed.

@RasmaSandra He's had PT for 8 months now; and he still falls. I am preparing myself for the worst but holding out a slim chance that he might come home.

That's 1 thing that is so hard on couples when they can't get a hold of 1 another
they fear the worst & it's even worse when 1 is in the hosp or nursing facility.

It's very heartwarming to know that--despite everything that is going on with your husband--he still thinks about you and cares about you and is worried for you. That is love right there.
I'm glad he finally got through to you. I'm sure he was very worried not being able to get a hold of you at first.

He has his phone and the charger now. There is a phone in the room; but I can't hear or understand him on that one...plus he dropped it on the floor.
