One week with Leo

Somehow I have wound up with this tiny little kick-me dog who is a Shih-Tzu/Maltese blend. I am not a dog person but I am watching Leo for a friend for a month. Fine. I don't believe anything I was told about him. I am crate-training him because he is not housebroken. Not only did I have to do flea treatments on him but also my cats because he spread the love. Kitten Claire is warming up to him a bit. She doesn't hiss at him and lets him chase her around. (Adso still hates him) He is getting better in the crate but does not like when I leave for work. Hey buddy I don't like leaving for work either! I hope Chantal takes him back in 3 weeks.

I wish you luck with the dog. I'm not a dog person either (I believe there are many more people who don't like them than most would realise, but that's another story). Small ones are most definitely the worst, and I wouldn't believe anything their owners say about them. They do tend to have awful owners e.g. the ones who tell you that their little yappy rat is friendly while it's trying to tear off your ankles. I don't blame your cats for being upset that a notcat is invading their space.

Watch out for the "It's only temporary" because it seldom is.

That's a good point. I've had one of my cats for about 10 years now. I was meant to be looking after her for a week.

Your friend should have told you everything about the dog so that you knew whether knowing the facts you could take him. It is not the doggie´s falt. You are a lot nicer than what I am. I would be very angry.

Chantal has gotten a free dog trainer. Very fortunate lady. Dog trainers usually expect tons of dough for their services.

I understand the problems but this is a lovely cross if you do have to have a dog. I hope you don't get stuck with him.

Poor doggie he needed a lot of training and treatments. I am glad Kitten Claire is not hissing at him anymore.

At least the cats are not all fighting with Leo, I hope you have a good start to the new week,

Just like Whiskey, I feel sorry for Leo. He didn't ask for this. I'm sorry he's not housebroken. That's a real bummer. I hope Chantal takes him in 3 weeks too. Have a good week.
