My experience of TEMU

I am sure you have all seen the adverts. Social media is full of them, and online in general. I was always sceptical, and I have heard horror stories of identity theft and scams online.
TEMU is a Chinese E-commerce platform. I haven’t done a great deal of research (!) but I believe much of the stock is located in the UK, so delivery times are a matter of days as opposed to weeks. This gave me some reassurance.
I bought a rabbit hutch. It was priced at over £120 elsewhere (online in the UK) but with various discounts I paid just £74. I thought this was an absolute bargain - as long as it was as described!
The hutch turned up in a few days and construction took around an hour on my own. I think if I had help with it I could have completed it much sooner, but the sturdy design was well worth the time and effort.
Hutches are eye-wateringly expensive these days, so to pay under £100 when a decent one elsewhere would be £200 was a great saving to me. I would definitely recommend this platform based on my purchase, but I would do further research if you’re looking to purchase clothes etc as I do believe sizes and dimensions can be on the small size.

My problem with Temu is that they have sweatshops in China, and they copy designer’s work. @MarieCoyle is probably tired of this topic, but she was the first one who enlightened me. I bought from them before I did my research, and their clothes were cheap and fell apart after one wash. Then again a bracelet showed up only half intact (I got my money back). Yet a few housewares were just fine. It varies. I’m glad to hear you were happy with your purchase though.

My daughter did some research on it, there are lawmakers working on an investigation of Temu. When you download their app, it seems that they get everything off of every app and site on your phone--bank info, how you paid someone and with what, personal info, sites visited, all photos, and on and on. I have a feeling we have not heard the end of Temu problems, and that something will be done.
Not to mention the lead in the clothing, unsafe chemicals found in items, and the sweatshops, etc. No, thanks.

Good for you Daniel!! Too bad you didn't have some help but wow what a bargain!
People complain about Temu and TikTok but they ain't going nowhere.
Good bargains on there.
Hope your rabbits will be right at home.

I've only bought a few things through Temu but have had a good experience so far.
