The end of Daylight Savings time in Israel will be this coming Sunday Oct 27 at 2:am!

That is to say that we will turn the clock back one hour so at 2am, it will be 1am. There will be an hour more in the morning. If you live in a country that is further North, you will see the sun earlier. But in Israel, there isn't much difference, except it will be already light at 6am. What is the effect for you when we move the clocks back? Do you like or dislike it?

Our state voted against it so it doesn't affect us any more. Most of the eastern states still have it.

Our country voted against and the vote ignored! We are ALL furious.

@LadyDuck I didn't know that. Is your country still part of the EU? If so, then maybe because of that it was ignored. Maybe if it went to an all EU vote most people would want to stop it too.

@lifecoachjerusalem NO, Switzerland never was part of the EU, it is still an independent country. Stupid thing to waste money to vote to ignore the popular vote.

The day is the same 24 hours, but it is how we think of it that makes the difference, and how we put our clocks. Maybe if enough people petition their respective governments it can be stopped. There is a long history of this idea all the way back to Benjamin Franklin writing a humorous piece to tell them to wake up earlier in tune with the sun.

@lifecoachjerusalem i know their long dated arguments but times had changed and should change. it is on a level of country and yes, if there were petitions, perhaps. i mean, we can't get the right for some social things, how could we get for this. i am just complaining, my only right concerning that

I think the end of daylight savings time for the U.S. is early november. Never the less, I hated it more as a kid, because it threw me off when going to school. But, now.... doesn't bother me all that much.

If I wake up an hour early, I don't really care, I will do more housework before I go to teach school.

@lifecoachjerusalem I like the sleep. Might throw off the feeding tube and medicine schedule a bit. But, it shouldn't be so bad.

Our clocks go back the first Sunday in November. I don’t particularly care for it, and I wish that “they” could get qualified people (such as meteorologists and astronomers) to design our time zones instead of the way they were designed (by voters). There are places far east of where I live (Louisville, Kentucky) that are on central time, while we’re on eastern time (an hour ahead of them). It makes sense for where I live to go back to standard time (otherwise, it wouldn’t be light until 9 AM in December), but other places (like Nashville, Tennessee, which is almost due south of us) get dark at 4:30 PM in the winter.

Same day and same time here in Switzerland. As I get up at 5:30, I am glad to have light as soon as I finish my breakfast.
