Christmas in the Philippines is not a mere season but an entire year-round feeling that starts as early as September, when Filipinos start playing Christmas songs and decorating homes with colorful lights and parols (star lanterns). This "Ber months" tradition goes on until the first week of January after the Feast of the Three Kings. The strong Catholic influence, the culture of having tight-knit families, and deep love for traditions are probably among the main reasons that Christmas is so significant and so long-winded.
What do you like most about the Filipino Christmas traditions? Is there any date when you prepare for Christmas already?
