That kid was lucky to be rescued and should not have been out there on his own,

Kahiau admits that his line of work is dangerous but insists he will stay doing riding in a kayak.

There are so many sports that I hear about and I say that they should not be done! But some people love the adrenaline, I suppose. I´m glad that he could be rescued.

That is true that many of us like the adrenaline of sports even if it dangerous.

What a scary time for the teenager. Glad he was able to hang on to his kayak until they could rescue him.

12 hours in the drink is a long time, and maybe he was lucky that the water was not too cold in that area.

The water was not too cold for Kahiau to survive in the Pacific Ocean for the period of time he was in the ocean when he was rescued.
