Weather denies the prediction....

Happy Wednesday from this side of the planet.. It's past 12 noon here as I write this post. I am back from work and want to relax a bit here before I enter the kitchen to fix lunch and take care of other chores.
Was happy to go back to work today and have two physical sessions. One session was cancelled as the child was absent due to sickness. And I came back home early.
We had holidays for the last two days due to the heavy rain and flood alert. Few online sessions happened. We got a severe rain alert for today and an advisory was circulated from government to keep physical school off and also for office goers to work from home. Our school has been mostly closed physically from the last one week. Husband got a circulation to work from home, it seems that all the three floors of their basement parking is flooded and they don't want their employees to come to office and get stuck there. It happened in the last year when we had similar havoc with rain and flood. He has been working from home since last Tuesday. If situation improves, they will get the circular to come back to office.
My daughter's college are clever. They take the decision at the last moment early in the morning. So, we keep checking our phones till last moment. She had holiday for two days last week but not this week. Thankfully, she is getting a ride easily and the area of her college is not flooded. So, this morning too she left for her college.
We had no rain in the morning. Even yesterday, the day was divided between bright sun and heavy pouring. We got a message to come in shifts as we still have a portion of building and classroom with water logged. Few classrooms are being used and so teachers and students are given shifts, it's two hours of school for everyone. I got my shift from 9:30_11:40. And it has been bright and sunny since 8 AM.
The warning is still flashing on all local news channels, but the weather denies the prediction so far. Let's see what's in store for the rest of the day. I have gone ahead and washed a huge load of laundry collected over the last few days. They are out in sun.
Depending on the situation, a call for tomorrow would be taken
Hope all is well in your myLot corner. Have a wonderful day and Yay!! The weekend is around the corner

thanks Arunimaji for posting about everything in Bengaluru.Few weeks back the gloomy weather helped the New Zealand team in Bengaluru to bundle down Indian batting order for 47 runs. again when it became sunny batting became easier. These days no person loves rains other than monsoon. But due to global warming Calcutta is always getting rain even in November

Oh! The series ended so terrible. Complete sweep by the Kiwis despite good performances by Shubham Gill and Pant. Well, that's what sports are about, unpredictable!
Global warming is a harsh reality. Weather is unpredictable.

We all are hoping so. At least we had bright sun till now. It is 3:45 PM now and it's wind and dark clouds. We got power cut too. Seems like another heavy pouring on the way.
You too have a good time.

@arunima25 Thank you. We will get some rain today because a cold front is coming through; but it's been pretty dry.

I feel strange and in a way sad that things have come to this in Bengaluru(Bangalore).
Remediation will take many years.
Here, the pollution problems in Delhi NCR are not going away.
It is marginally better than the last year, but if one says that Pollution would reduce probable lifespan by 5 years with a certain level of pollution and it is 4.95 the next year, it is still something disturbing.
A person on Linkedin posted that more than stubble burning, it is the increase in SUV numbers that is causing higher pollution.
There is a lot of debate and arguments on that.
Anyways, I think take any major city in India.
Infrastructure or some or the other issues are there big time.
I wonder what planning and implementation is there.
We just see new car launches, new expressways, roads and Malls coming up.
Yet to hell with drainage, action against unauthorized constructions and whatever can make civic life better.
Only good can tell when things would improve.
I hope that you had a great Diwali.

Yes Diwali was nice!
Hopefully, serious effort starts to make the city a better place to live.

I totally echo your thoughts. Ongoing constructions and pollution here has made the city so bad, aur quality so poor. And no place is spared of the climatic changes.
It's not the infrastructure, but the unplanned one.. corruption is so evident. Things are planned with short vision and they take forever to complete..they resolve problems less and create inconvenience for long for regular people.
Multiple cars to show off is getting so common. One needs to develop that moral and social responsibility. No one can teach that.
Diwali was good. Glad that the rain stopped on Dhanteras, else it would have been ruined. Hope you had a good festival too with your family.

No one is to blame. Yes, things could have been a bit better with better infrastructure in place. But this kind of rain can paralyze any place. It's the worst rain in 27 years. It was sunny so far. Now it's 3:45 PM and another wind and heavy pouring has started

Hmm...Do you enjoy that? I like snow but a lot of them can be annoying. Prolonged winter can be depressing too.

Heavy rain often occurs in the afternoon and evening in Indonesia. After a long time we went through the summer, now the rainy season has arrived. I enjoy it.

Even I enjoy rain as long as it doesn't continue for days together and create havoc in the city by floods. We had some good shower today evening and I enjoyed it. We are having some good bright sunny days in the last two weeks. I don't mind a but of shower after a bright day. Saves me from a big chore of watering my plants

@astutimeliana723 As long as it doesn't rain too much and flood the city creating all havoc, I love having a little bit of rain everyday. Enough to water my more than 100 pots. It's a big chore saved.

@arunima25 Hahaha, that's it, the rain saved me from the big task of watering the vegetable plants in the garden. Since the rain came, I have been on holiday from watering.

Not fun to not know things until last minute, I'd hate it. I need to plan ahead!
At least you seem to only be working in the morning, so you can enjoy the afternoon.

I know. Even I hate this unclear things. Anyways, no one is at fault. Everyone is suffering due to this rain and flood. And people are just trying to do the best in their capacity.
I am into part time mode, I am paid on hourly basis. I work for 3 hours in a day at school in the morning. In the afternoon, I run my own therapy centre from 4_7.
