I love fall apple season. I really like apples. I keep the old adage in mind, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Anyway, I almost always have apples in the fall. Right now I have some fuji. What is your favorite kind of apple? Do you eat them often? Do you make anything with them?

I love apples and I'm pretty much a fan of all of them. I used to love delicious apples because I love their crunch but with so many varieties to choose from these days I usually buy a few different types.
I love baked apples with a dollop of ricotta cheese on top.

We always have some kind of apple in the house. Right now we have "honeycrisp". But will have jazz, sugar bee, pink lady, fuji, ambrosia, crimson . . . any of 'em! I get gala for applesauce . . . but it's mainly because I can get bags of them for a deal.

@much2say Not really a fan of Delicious either. They are too prone to mushiness. Here too, that is all my mother ever bought. I also think they are too sweet.

@snowy22315 I just don't like those regular red delicious apples. Funny, but that's literally all there was when I was growing up!

You don't like apples? I don't know anyone else who doesn't. Do you like apple cider, apple juice etc.? I bet you could get most of the benefits from apples, from cider..just not the fiber.

@snowy22315 I like cider okay, but not apple juice or even apple sauce. I ate a caramel covered apple as a child, and loved it, but what kid wouldn’t like something with caramel?

@AmbiePam you brought back some good memories mentioning caramel apples. I can't eat them anymore because they're too sticky for my teeth.

There are alot of hybrids of them now. They aren't nearly as good as they used to be in my opinion.
