How I prepare boiled eggs

I am not sure if anyone here loves eating boiled eggs and veggie salads in the morning. At least twice a week I do prepare and eat 2 boiled eggs, veggie salads and some fruit. I boil the eggs using about a glass of water. I pour the glass of water in a small cooking pot, add some banana leaves, place the eggs on the banana leaves, cover with more banana leaves, then the pot lid. Once the steam starts to show, I wait for some 10-12 mins and... my eggs are ready!! I was taught this trick by my late grandma and had taught it to my late daughter. If I happen to have another child, i will teach her/him this trick. My grandma's legacy must live on!!

I just use water and love them. Even if I wanted to try your recipe, I could not do it. We don´t have banana leaves around here.

Oh, that means you do not do banana farming there? And I wish you knew that banana leaves also add flavour to boiled potatoes!

@SIDIKIMPOLE Our climate does not permit bananas to grow. All the bananas I have eaten in my life are imported.

I love boiled eggs too. I haven’t eaten one in quite awhile, but hopefully soon.

They are rich in proteins, but shouldn't eaten cold. They upset the tummy!

It's interesting how different cultures use different methods. We don't have banana leaves here so I couldn't cook eggs as you do.

I don't like them a lot, but I eat them because they are healthy.
