I Talk to Squirrels

I am trying to walk every day. There is a little park not far away. Yesterday, I sat on the bench under a tree and started taking photos of it. A little squirrel would come out and look at me. I pointed the phone in his direction, and he disappeared. He kept coming out to check on me, and then he was gone. I talked to him every time he popped up. Do you talk to squirrels, birds, or other wildlife? Do you love animals?

Yes;I do.But not loudly.I know they understand me.Yes;I talk to an old banyan tree in the jungle I visit every morning. The tree understands me;too. Trees;birds;animals;animals and even stones understand our emotions. They understand what we think or feel about them.I have read about it and feel they know whether we love or hate them.

That is awesome. I never thought of talking to trees or stones. Are they alive? Do rocks feel bad if you pick them up and throw them in the water or keep pretty ones in a drawer? Tell me how that works.

@mosherii I think;it takes them time to realize we are their friends;not foes. The truth is;we have rarely maintained friendly relations with them.

Not wildlife, but to the cat. I don't want the squirrel that hangs around my porch to think we are buddies. He might try to get inside some day.

Okay, that is a good idea. I know squirrels can make a mess out of an attic or room. My squirrel looks to be young and curious. It wants to be friends but is scared of me. Your cat is part of the family so you need to talk to him.

@mosherii This squirrel lives in a tree in a park. He would be a problem in a house. Squirrels are rodents and they chew things.

We rescued a baby squirrel recently - it must've fell from our big ash tree. It's back in the tree and thriving with the others now. It was particularly on the small side . . . for now we could still spot it . . . it was named "The Little". There are at least 4 living in the tree . . . when I see a small one, I always ask "Are you 'The Little'?". I don't know if the stare is a yes or no .

It is hard to tell if a squirrel has any great thoughts. I guess it is possible.

I love animals but from a distance. The only animal I do chatting or petting as much as possible is a cat.

@mosherii Has your cat ever told you anyone else's secrets? They don't care, they just want to be petted and talked to.

Most cats are lovely pets to talk to. You can tell them all your deepest secrets and they will not tell anyone.

When you talk to animals, they sometimes answer. It might be in their language but they are communicating with you.

@TheHorse I know this sounds weird and probably is. Sometimes, I can communicate with an animal using telepathy and it does the same back. Maybe it is my imagination.

@grenery8 They will be better friends when they know they can trust you and you like them. I heard they bring you things as gifts.

I read about crows. They are interesting. When you a nice to them, they will bring you presents. I never had a crow as a friend but it would be a nice experience.

My daughter talked to plants. She gave them all names and asked them how they were and what do they need now. Many people have said that if you get extra money from whatever source, do not talk about it in front of your car, refrigerator, or other appliances. Keep it private, put it in the bank, or spend it. If your appliances know, one or more will break down.

I had a bad experience with possums. One day, I found two possums in my kitchen fighting over a crate of Ramen noodles. I did not want to use them after that so I dumped the ramen in a field where the possums live. At least, they could finish eating them. There was a baby possum in a waste basket. i thought of keeping it for a pet but did not have a cage so I took it outside and let it go.

I know of people who talked to plants. I sold a story about an autistic child who talked to tomatoes and angels. I did not see the angels but I know tomato plants produce better fruit when you talk to them.

@aureategloom They could do both of these things. Rodents chew things. It is their worst quality as a pet, it is what they are programmed to do.

It is fun to watch them. I like how they can scamper up a tree like it is no problem. They mostly keep their eyes on you to see what you are doing in their world.

I love animals. There are few mylotters who have openly admitted to talking to their pets.I used to talk to my dog and cat when they were alive . I used to talk on the random things. I have never really u if nderstood what I ever said to them , however, they used to hug if it is sad topic or lick me if it is a happy one. However, now they are gone and I am busy with other things in life , do not have much opportunities other than self-talk. I know a few who speak to plants and they too have understood our talk and emotions. Well, guess we all have a way to communicate even without language with other animal species.

Yes, you don't need to use language to communicate with animals. If I imagine the squirrel sitting beside me and me giving it a nut, it seems to understand my thoughts.
