Having the accident, seems a lot of trouble at tge time, but with each passing day it gets a little easier. At least I hope that's the case. Well, a friend of mine called me yesterday, she got a notice her rent is going up. From $500.00 to $848.00 She was devastated. These apartments are suppose to be low rent. My heart broke for her. She said it was everyone that lived there. Her hours has been cut. I was depressed for her and the other tenants. It just seems so unreal.

The salary is not increasing for the people but the prices of other material things is increasing!! I don't know how the inflation will keep rising and make worse for the people to live!

Those rates are actually less! Even at 848 , thats a good deal! I understand the price rise is close 80% , but then perhaps she initially got her apartment for a huge steal ! Well, not sure she can get apartments for a lesser price. She can definitely talk to the concerned , and see if some concession can be made in her case atleast for a few months. She could also check why there was a steep rise in the rent. Little surprised to see the hike in prices when the economy is not at its best. We will never know till we ask the concerned. Hope things are getting better at your end. You have a great day ahead!

That is just wrong, and sounds vaguely illegal. I would take that up with legal aid or the housing authority. That is almost double the rent.

Everything is going up and if I did not live above my friends who take care of my rent and keep it at a certain level to send to the building owners I would be so scared because I cannot afford even to have my rent go up by a buck,

That is a huge increase. How are people expected to manage when rents jump so much?
