I'm Not the Pauper You Take Me For

If anyone saw the inside of my refrigerator, they might be inclined to start a donation pool at once.
"Poor guy. Must be starving, struggling to make ends meet."
The reality is that we eat what we cook, and we cook what we eat, and everything we have is used, eaten up, repurposed, and never left to rot and need to be thrown away.
That's not to say it never happens. It is simply to say it rarely happens.
Just like I am frugal with money, I am frugal with the way things are used that my money buys. It's a lifestyle. It's a habit that cannot be broken no matter how much money we will ever have.
For me, more money has never been a means to more things, or to be freer and less inclined to be concerned with waste. I know how hard it was to get here. I know the hard work it took to earn every penny I earned until I had enough that my money could earn it for me.
I don't take that for granted.

Our fridge is usually fairly empty unless our mothers get us a lot of stuff. I hate throwing stuff away. We don’t usually buy stuff in bulk. We buy stuff in small quantities. And we don’t cook stuff that lasts for days and days, aside from soup. When I make soup it always ends up being too much and last for 5 days or so.

My late grandmother do the same, she went to the market everyday, because she doesn't want to cook frozen meat or fish, she wanted to cook fresh food.
