It is a good thing that an accident in which a tractor trailer that was on Interstate 70 in Frederic County happened overnight Tuesday morning when the interstate that caused the state police to shut down all of the lanes of the interstate for several hours so that a cleanup crew could clean up the mess.
One person was injured in the accident. The accident victim was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated but his condition is not known.
Maryland State Highway Administration did report that the three lanes eastbound on Interstate 70 were closed for several hours until the interstate was reopened later in the day.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident even though I think that the driver was tired at the time of the accident.

The Police seem to shut down roads, and highways, at the drop of a hat these days, for long periods of time, and without alternative routes, it can be a real bugbear for drivers.
They need to lift their game, and clean up messes like that quicker, instead of just standing around idlely chatting about what a mess it is, and who will they charge, or who will they get to clean it up. They should just dig in with a large broom, and get the job done pronto, themselves.

I hope the victim makes a full recovery. That must have been quite a mess.

That is true since most drivers are not real life Iron Men or Supermen.
