Dana spared us

For the last two days there was so much reporting about Dana in the news media that we shivered thinking about the devastation it would bring. Last night before going to bed I fastened all doors and windows properly. The cyclone was supposed to make a landfall at midnight hours . A cyclone means damaged houses. fallen trees, broken electricity poles, blocked roads, stalled supplies, costlier vegetables and fruits. I was afraid the tin roof on our staircase could be blown away by the storm winds. Thank God, nothing of that sort befell. I'm posting this discussion at 9:15 in the morning. We are safe . Only effect of the cyclone we are seeing here is an incessant rain since yesterday. Let it rain. I'm glad about it. That no damage has befallen us is a huge relief . Fearing the worst, the government has ordered no classes in all educational institutions. Of course our 'home school' will remain open as usual.
