Silence could be a better answer for a lof of situations. However, if the person you are silent with is going to be with you for a long time , it is better to negotiate and resolve. Because in that way , the long term relationship could be more harmonious than being dysfunctional. However, with short term relationships , if they are not understanding and are a pain , then silence could be one of the best ways to deal with them. In that way , they would further not be there in your journey called life. I also have given silent treatments to people who have been less co-operative. I am sure may would have. Enjoy the weekend!

@saumitra123 No;even if you remain silent;some may continue hurting you.But again the proper answer is silence.Keep silent unless and until they attack you physically. And if they attack you;don't run away.Face them no matter how much stronger they are than you.

If you're being ignored anyway then it is probably best to not bother. Saying that, it can sometimes be better to talk. If you can get the person to at least listen so you can explain any problem and talk through it. If you've tried and the situation stays the same then silence is probably best.

@saumitra123 It's better to ignore a person who doesn't understand your feelings. I have always maintained distance from such people.

@saumitra123 precisely.it may appear a colder relation but, sometimes,we just want some peace and not to go through same past actions again and again. Less negativity as well. I read that many health issues are there cause we are acting or thinking in a negative way and it's really not necessary.

Sometimes if we have answers also, these things lead to arguments only and nothing else..So despite having an answer I think it is better to remain silent..

That depends on the situation. Silence doesn't help someone understand, so if you're wanting a resolution you have to have a conversation.
