What's your net worth?

This is a question I hear, quit a number of rich people ask. Some mention very big figures. So I ask myself does it mean the poor are worthless. Does it mean if you don't have these material things, you don't have any value in this life? Who even introduced it in the first place?

My answer is always none of your damn business. lol. But no, being poor does not mean one is worthless. It just means they have failed to understand money and wealth creation. For me the sad part is many people WANT more money and more wealth. They simply refuse to obtain it by making themselves ignorant to it or fooling themselves into believing the system is rigged and it's impossible to achieve it and make all sorts of excuses why they can't.

The concept of net worth is only about money. There is a saying, which I've mostly forgotten, but something like that a person must be very poor if all they have is money.
People have value, which doesn't have to equate to monetary wealth. Value can be in many forms from useful skills and knowledge to simple kindness. I have been financially poor, I am now doing OK and working on making more money simply to continue affording things we need! However, my financial worth has never had a bearing on my value as a human being.
