it's always a struggle when i have to pack for a trip because I NEED EVERYTHING!!! what do you mean it's just two days?? what if i don't like the outfit i packed and i want the other one i left at home? hm? what then? not to mention shoes - high heel boots take up like 50% of suitcase. it's not easy being a woman well, i have a few more hours until our trip. i'll try to pack only essentials (hygiene and chargers), one outfit, long socks and boots. i'll carry book and makeup in my bag. what are your trip essentials?

It's easy to pack light and give yourself options. As a woman, I always take three outfits for an overnight trip. This not only gives me choice, but if something happens to one I have something clean to change into. I also have two pairs of shoes on hand. Then the basic health things like tolitry bag, laptop, charger phone etc. And, that's just the basics that aren't related to my disability.

@aureategloom Just my wheelchair, cushion, and my pills. I also carry a glcose meter and monitor my sugar. As for clothes, I don't worry about stains. But I still have a period and don't want to be sitting in a pool of blood if I don't have to. I also try to avoid wearing clothes that get wet for to long. chafing can happen even in a wheelchair. I can't risk that. And, I feel everything.

i never even thought of the second reason for packing more outfits. i'm type of person that will ignore stain or something if it happened after i put my outfit on. if it's not too big or too visible, of course. do you need many more things for your health?

@kaylachan seems like you're thinking about everything and you got a way to deal with things that can eventually happen also, i didn't know about your condition and i apologize if i was being rude, i didn't mean to

It is hard to pack for a trip I agree. What I take really depends on the time of the year. Obviously I take more clothing if it is winter time.

i think that my problem is that i can be indecisive sometimes i'm always thinking it's better to have things with you, than to need them and not having them. + it's not like we're carrying it on our backs and for some reason, it's easier to pack for winter, in my case.

i do that, but i don’t think it’s very useful. when i was on the trip i talked about in this discussion - i wore the same outfit for 2 days because it was too cold. there was no need for the rest of the packed things i wish i could do that, but i always try to do things "in time" so i’m not late or i don’t forget something because i’m in rush

I FEEL THIS. Oh my God. When I went to the WWE Royal Rumble back in 2014, I packed a bit and it was just for ONE NIGHT. But I was several hours from home and I go through those "What if I need this??" feelings lol.

Essentials depend where I'm going of course, but the standard is always twice as many pairs of socks and undies as I probably need. lol

2 pairs of indoor clothes , toothbrush and accessories , bath soap , deodarant , a book to read , laptop and charger and finally phone and charger. These are my minimum trip essentials. Rest of the items depend on the type and duration of the trip. I like to have minimal items and thats has helped me in short trips. It is different when it is a long trip. I classify anything as long as long it is more than 7 days. When there is a trip , a do have a to-do list to help me remember all things I need to carry , especially if there are additional ones. I do agree its not easy when a woman is travelling .There would be items to carry. Enjoy your trip and have a great time!

short list that makes sense. indoor clothes, that's interesting. when i go somewhere, i usually spend 90% time outside and when i get home i only need my pajama. anything that's not just a one day trip means a big bag/suitcase to me oh and thank you, i enjoyed my trip. and sorry for responding just now

@grenery8 i mean, it is good to have some snacks or something sweet with you i try to always have something sweet with me. i like both tea and coffee, but coffee is essential for trips. otherwise i'll just be sleeping the whole ride
