Bitter Gourd

It is called bitter gourd because it is bitter but there is a way in which we cook it and we just relish it Just the bitter gourd Scoipe out the rind, make thin slices, marinate oin salt for half fan hour, squeeze out and cook the vegetable in masala. Once cooked add enough jaggery, a bit of tamarind and temper it with garlic and mustard. Delicious

I also love to eat bitter gourd. I like bitter gourd with scrambled eggs.

Bitter gourd us a regular dish as curry in our family lunch. Though it is bitter but if fried in oil it loses its bitterness. However, your way of cooking looks quite interesting. Marinating it and adding jaggery to it something quite new for me.
