Handwriting is one of the personal and unique ways we communicate to others. Apart from cognitive and emotional benefits, it is also a personal form of expression. From a very young age, children are thought to write and it helps them to develop creativity and motor skills. Handwriting can be considered as a fundamental aspect of human communication apart from skill.
However, with the rise of digital tools, there are concerns on the erosion of handwriting skills. With communication mostly on smartphones, tablets and laptops (which has also become our primary means of written communication), the art of penship among many seems to diminish. Younger generation finds a lack of engagement even with a pen and paper, working professionals do not have the speed to write. The proficiency in writing seems to have diminished as I look around me.
I see people struggling to write an application where as they could do those easily online. The intent to have a good handwriting is also seem lost among people as most communication over paper seem to have become formality.
I believe we should still value handwriting even if you passed the graduation and preserve the traditional form of communication. We should not lose sight of value handwriting brings even in this digital age.
So , are digital technology tools eroding our handwriting skills?

yes and no, it is about adaption but it should be not fully. as we struggled to write as children, it is too bad some or most people are relying on online things. i still make my gorcery shopping list so i write and when i was sending my job applications, i deliberately wrote my covering letter with pen. only one employer noticed that but he didn't encourage me, just asking did i do it on purpose and i said yes and that was it

Well, we should write whenever and wherever possible. Digital tools are nice , however it should be ones which makes certain essentail skills obsolete. Thanks for sharing!
