On October 2 I visited my kidney doctor for a regular check-up. I also said to him and time before that, that i feel aching in my knees, bones, muscles and i can't figure it out. He knows i went to physcial therapy expert but i assumed after the results that day, which he sent me right the next day, he will tell me more. On October 3, he said all is good, kidneys and their vitality and he sent me results, 9 pages, too much and also saying that other results will come too and that i can contact him. I thought of doing that tomorrow, he said between 3 and 4 weeks, but sometimes i can see it online and i saw it now, a half an hour ago. Okay, he said i should have contacted him but, he might sending me first but, okay. Then i scrolled up old results and realised that i have vitamin D deficiency which i missed. Since i complained to him, i know it's not his area of expertise, but couldn't he said something, actually looking my results at close. On my inition, i bought myself some vitamins, that happen to have vitamin D too but, this, i feel not great. I feel upset, disappointed and a little but angry knowing i struggled with occassional but enough pain while he didn't care. I sent him an email and will see what he says and if he answers cause, we have holiday on November 1 and he could be on Bahamas now. Forgot to say that i changed my old kidney doctor, this was a new one but, i can tell that approach is all the same. They copy the old diagnosis and everything else, listen to you, blood tests are too many, 4 pieces but communication or caring, nothing better. P.s. online photo, not mine.

He admitted i need vitamin d pills but he isn't sure my muscles, bones, knees hurt from that.all that check-up doesn't make sense whenever i visit him. first,i talk to a specialist after a decent amount of waiting, then they do blood test and then i go home, without knowing my results.i see them a couple of days later online and then i am sending emails to ask the specialist to comment them. For any medicine that is recommended, i have to call my gp. Too much work but now finding out he didn't pay attention at all, it hurts. I am better today, knowing it's not late but, yes, why couldn't he work harder, like i have to track everything, even things that i, as a patient, don't need to do. Yet, if i refuse some things, then these merciless doctors would say we don't care about our health,ah.

I've heard D3 has to be taken with K2. I know, it sounds like playing Sea Battle. But really, it seems we can't really rely on doctors. I like doing my own research ALTHOUGH I lack the expertise and need to be careful with the info I read on the internet.

it really does where are our tanks now, captain? you are so right. i wish i have some guru for free, that can chant me and telling me what to do, he would be of more use i took already some vitamins in my pharmacy but they are not that strong as the ones that doctors prescribe them. i read vitamin d can be found in mushrooms; i don't really like them but i bough them today

@grenery8 Aww, I hope you'll get to like the mushrooms. I'm not a fan of them either, but fried or marinated are pretty good. Whatever makes them not look like mushrooms anymore, I guess.

They are.you are so correct.i remember when i asked him something in person last time, he was teaching me, not talking to me in some moments. I know he studied a lot but if he doesn't know to read lab results, convey them, i can do without him. And i remember i complained about muscles, bones and he was astonished.3weeks it says that i'm low on vitamin d. I wonder what he will say to me, of course, without any apology

My gp is another thing. I can leave him a message on answering machine or show up, hoping he will receive me or scheduke me for another day but isn't using email;if he was using, i could have just forward the results and maybe, just maybe, he could have noticed too but, usually, i am the one to say it. Do you drink dvitamin all the time then? I will try.specialist answered i should take the old pills for vitamin d and i left a message on answering machine to my gp. I hope he hears it,rather nurse. Try having a good week too

It is true that some doctors do not care about their patients' well-being; their primary focus seems to be on making money.

@grenery8 Older individuals may not be receiving the level of care they deserve. I sincerely hope this isn’t the case, as they are already facing challenges due to their age and suffering. It’s essential for them to show some compassion not only towards the elderly but to all their patients as well.

He's a specialist, he must be swimming in money,i am sure but,if you work in a state's hospital, what about some altruism and care and doing half of your work.clearly not and that is sad.if i am feeling ignored, i can't imagine how it is for older people, for example. Money, only money.the only comfort is they are mortals like us, they can't live forever.

It’s been my experience that doctors get sidetracked by the biggest problems, and then let the other issues fall to the wayside. But they don’t understand it’s ALL a big problem to us. We can’t afford for them to overlook things just because they don’t deem it the most urgent. I’m sorry you faced frustration like that.

I also have iron deficiency.had with other doctor too one time but they said it's normal.if minimum is 8,i'm on 6,and i'm also a woman,i mean, come on. thank you.yes,a big frustration cause i feel i'm the only one curing myself,so what does he do, i wonder.and, you are right, they don't understand that we need other organs, vitamins, minerals too. To live and function. I need to cool down but always some shocks like this one
