Volusia Sheriff Mike Chitwood is hopeful that a kangaroo that fled from his owner's home in Pierson Florida on Thursday October 17 will be found safe and sound soon since according to the officials of the Florida Fish And Wildlife Conservation kangaroos tend to stay near their residences.
A bear entered the enclosure of the kangaroo who fled the home of his owner. The authorities are keeping a sharp lookout for the kangaroo and hope to return the animal to his owner safely.

It's good that he bear didn't get out. They are much more dangerous than kangaroos.

I do not know why people continue to keep wild animals as pets, especially, if they are not being kept in enclosures, that will not allow them to escape.
Perhaps, the owner does not know that that animal could turn on him one day, as happened in Australia, just recently, when a 12 year old boy was badly mauled by a kangaroo.

I guess some owner of wild animals do not know that wild animals can harm humans.

@celticeagle That is a good question since I have heard that kangaroos are great fighters.

I think in Florida a person can own a kangaroo with a permit.
