I have a question...

Does this photo look like it might be a modern reinterpretation of Hogwarts?
I admit I haven't been to the 'new' Austin Central Library. I kind of knew it had moved from the one built in 1979, but just hadn't been too interested in looking at the new one.
Then I read an article about a building that had been the very original Austin Library and that got me curious.
Then I saw this picture...
All I could think was... is that like Hogwarts? Stairs going every which way. Ramps over the atrium at angles.
I'm kind of wondering if the architect looked at Hogwarts and said - to him or her self - I can do that in glass!
Really, just asking? Do you see the resemblance?

@ElicBxn Harry Potter has inspired many works of art based on the movies.

@ElicBxn I see what look like elevator doors at the back of the 'room' so there probably is access.

You could be on to something. Or, the architect could have been ON something. I don't see any bookshelves...

I see stacks (library term for bookshelves) at the other end of the level we seem to be on. They aren't tall shelves, maybe 3 high. Libraries stopped doing really tall shelves because some idiot always tries to climb them. I'm sure they still have them in Universities, because students there are supposed to be smart enough to not do it.

@BarBaraPrz there are white squares in front of the elevators. If you look on the other side of the column you can see them at an angle and they are dark, those are the books.

I am a science fiction/fantasy fan. I've always said I like "soft" science fiction and "hard" fantasy. Meaning - I like my sf without all the hard or real science and I like my fantasy that isn't what they call High Fantasy. High Fantasy is like Lord of the Rings and hard sf is like Issac Asimov.

@grenery8 I agree, at least if you write a language, at least give me a translation... like Minion, I do think it is a language, but a mix of a bunch of different languages. I've read some fanfic with Minions and the writer at the end gives a translation. I do know what I've seen of Minions, it sounds like this writer is onto it.
