Pennies on the Table

As many of you are probably well aware of, I tend to hang out in a LOT of older posts around here, making it a point, especially when things are otherwise a bit slow, because I still want to spend time on here, to give older posts some love.
After all, what else do those old posts do but collect dust and take up valuable space on the myLot server?
It makes me wonder, as I even go through many of my older posts that I find have MANY comments I never got back to people on, how many comments are in YOUR old posts that you didn't respond to?
I bet there are tons. And that, to me, is pennies left on the table even if the main point of being here is not necessarily to make money.
But have you ever thought of going to your own discussions, scrolling down to the first one, and going through them one by one to see if you missed responses or comments that you can respond to and maybe bring an old post back to the front?
I find I miss a LOT, and it's fun to go back and find them and "take care of them," so to speak.

Glad you do this because it turns out you miss out on commenting on my responses at times. I hope I don’t miss anyone that replies to anything of mine. But we can’t really know until we randomly go into stuff we wrote or commented on.

@porwest I was thinking about going to some of my old posts to see what's up there but it's hard to decide how far to go and which ones to look at. Do you just pick them randomly?

It happens to the best of us to miss things sometimes, even being as active as I am it is bound to happen to me. I really do think there are a lot of good, older posts, and I think they deserve more attention. It's so easy to just stay at the top of the pile. I like to go down a little further and see what else is in here. I find there's quite a lot.

No, I haven't done that, not even thought of it. If I didn't respond to a comment it's probably because I had nothing constructive to say to it.

I can always find a way to respond to a comment. I guess it's the writer side of me. Plus, I hate leaving comments not at least liked. But it might be fun to go back and check. I even find sometimes I have comments left that I did not have a final response to before that I simply liked and left that now I can comment back on and refresh the post.
I wish more people went to more older posts around here. But of course, everyone has their own thing.

@porwest Well, I usually do at least 'like' comments.

I don't. The only thing I do is sometimes delete old posts

I rarely miss any responses. Every day I read and comment on all the Discussions made by the people that I follow; and then I take care of the Notifications. I may get behind sometimes; but I try to always catch up. Have a good day.
