Employees at the Paterson Public Library in New Jersey are happy that a female named Cythnia Delhaie found the book that her late grandmother Arlene Delhaie checked out in 1923 called "Life Of King Henry V" written by William Shakespeare was returned to the library last Tuesday. Cynthia was sorted through the possessions that belonged to her late grandmother. Cynthia contacted the library to inform them the good news. Paterson Public Library Corey Fleming said that in over 20 years has mentioned that this was the first time an overdue book that was checked over 100 years ago. Link is upi.com/5591729628381 via @upi

That would be a good idea since the book is not exactly in the best of shape these days.

Thats an very interesting incident. First of all , a person being responsible and returning back a book that her grandmothr should have - that is definitely admirable. The other interesting part is getting back a book which is over due for a almost a century. Well, I do not think that has ever happened in other libraries across the world. Not sure why the news did not get the big publicity it needs across the globe. Perhaps the wars and scams are more sensational . However, I love the kindness involved . As usual thanks for inspiring us today with this news!

There is a saying that a scandal sells more ratings than good news stories these days.

It would be funny if her grandmother actually paid for the book at the time, as a lot of libraries cull books from time to time in a yard sale-type event. Old library books, with stamps and stickers on them, are seldom worth very much to collectors, also, but I guess she thought that she was doing the right thing. It was certainly a long time between drinks for that old book.
