Some may remember her for classic movies “Young Frankenstein” or “Tootsie”, but I remember her most for playing the biological mother of the character of Phoebe on “Friends”. I saw those other two productions later in life. She was 79, and I am sorry she is gone.

I have never seen Young Frankenstein, at least not star to finish. I don't think I have ever seen Tootsie. But I do know her from Friends. I LOVED her as Phoebe's mom. I think Lisa Kudrow is one of the best female comedians. LOL

She was good in Tootsie. I didn't know she played Phoebe's bio mom...well I probably did at the time, but I had forgotten. She might have had some kind of illness.I remember I saw her once I think on Ellen, and she didn't look well.

The name Terri Garr does sound familiar even though I never did see her movies that were on this post. May her soul find eternal peace at last.

A very pretty talented actress. Very funny in Young Frankenstein and Tootsie. Fun fact: before getting her first speaking role Garr was a dancer for 5 Elvis Presley movies. Who knew!
She also had the role Ronnie Neary the wife of Richard Dreyfuss in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."

I think I'm too young to remember her, but sorry to hear she's passed.
