I have some sad news to report. The entertaining, but pesky porch squirrel has apparently bit the dust. The other day when I was doing my walk, not far from here I saw a squirrel that had been run over by a car. The reason I think it was porch squirrel was because he used to come up on the porch nearly everyday, usually more than once. I haven't seen him since Saturday. I am gonna miss the squirrely little bugger. So will Nico!

Porch will surely be missed by you. Sad that it was killed.

Yes, I feel bad about it, but that's life. I am not sure what their lifespans are anyway.

@allknowing The cat I had before Nico I had for several years passed away after a short illness. Actually, I think he may have been poisoned by a cleaning agent which made me feel terrible, that was a tough one though. He was the best cat I ever had

@snowy22315 I lost Billu our cat - healthy one moment and gone the next. I do not know what happened to her. Lively, loving, and the best pet I have had in years

@LadyDuck They are around but most stay in the back. He was the only one that we could see and hear all the time.

Well there are still squirrels around and we can see them in the back..but this one was always close and we could watch him easily from the chair by the window.

I was hoping it wasn't him...but he wouldn't be a no show this long.
