He is an American historian and has taught at American University in Washington, D.C. since 1973.
He uses a 13-key system to determine which candidate will win the popular vote in the presidential elections. He uses data from 1860 to 1980. Strangely the statistical methods he uses he adapted from the work of geophysicist, Vladimir Keilis-Borok and his unproven methods in predicting earthquakes. They work! They have to do with compiling data, not about earthquakes.
The system that Lichtman uses has correctly predicted the popular vote winner in every election from 1984 to 2012. And, he foresaw Donald Trump's victory in 2016. Trump didn't win the popular vote but Lichtman says he used different information to predict correctly that he would win the election.
It has been very interesting to listen to his podcasts. He is very knowledgeable. This really helps the anxiety I have been feeling lately about the upcoming election. He feels certain that Kamala will win. He is getting death threats because of it too. Really shows how infantile the other side is.
The picture is from my collection.

Infantile is right! Just because someone says who will win is no reason to kill someone, not even to call them a dirty name. Anyway, I hope he's correct.

There just seems so much hate and anger in the world at the moment.
